Schoepke is a town in Oneida County, Wisconsin, United States. The unincorporated communities of Jennings, Lennox, Pelican Lake, and Pratt Junction are located in the town.

The Town is centered on the unincorporated settlement of Pelican Lake, located on the eastern shore of the lake along US Highway 45. Most of the development in the town is along the eastern and northern shores of Pelican Lake. The eastern section of the town is woodlands much of it held as industrial forest.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 50.6 square miles (131.0 km2), of which 46.0 square miles (119.3 km2) is land, while 4.5 square miles (11.7 km2) or (8.96%) is water.

Great Lakes or Chains

Schoepke is about 32,000 acres and has three lakes, most notably Pelican Lake. Much of the town is forested. Schoepke is part of the Northern Highland geomorphic region with a glacial landscape that includes gently rolling, rounded, forested hills rising above adjacent marshy areas.

Pelican Lake. Pelican Lake is a 3545 acre lake located in Oneida County. It has a maximum depth of 39 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The lake’s water clarity is low.

Lake Lucille. Lake Lucille is a 55 acre lake located in Oneida County. It has a maximum depth of 7 feet. Fish include Panfish and Northern Pike.

Upper Post Lake. Upper Post Lake is a 765 acre lake located in Oneida, Langlade Counties. It has a maximum depth of 14 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.
